Christmas Degustabox

Happy 1st of December everyone!
Last week I was sent the Christmas Degustabox which I am thrilled with.

For those of you not familiar with Degustabox they are a food box subscription service and
every month they select and send out an exciting range of new and limited edition products from a range of fab foodie brands.

This years Christmas box contains 12 items and a mini item.

So first of all we have two Ryvita items.
The first is their Crispy Crackers which look lovely
I was sent the Green and Black olive flavored ones.
I have given these to  Stuart to  have as I'm not too keen on olives.
The other flavors available sound great though:
- Black Pepper
and
-Spiced apple chutney.

The other Ryvita item is their deliciously moreish thins which come in four flavors
-Sweet Chilli
- Sundried tomato and herb
- Multi-seed
 and
- Mature chedder and black cracked pepper
The box contains the latter which I have really enjoyed.

We then have New Belvita soft bakes promising a softer start to the day.
They are avaible in three different flavors:
-Golden Grain
- Red Berries
and
- chocolate chips.
My box contained the red berries one which is lovely.

Tuckey' proper biscuits are also in the box.
The proper biscuits digestives are inspired by original recipes and traditional ingredients.

Butterkist have been included with their salted caramel flavored
pop corn which I have to be honest and say I didn't like.
I know salted caramel is popularbut I've never been to keen on it.

Nim's fruit crisps are a brand I've not heard of.
We not keen on this type of thing in our household but Stuart will
most likely give these a try.

Hartley's Jelly has you covered for Christmas desserts.
Make fun and fab creations with Black Cherry Jelly and
Strawberry Glitter Jelly.

Divine Chocolate is a brand I've only tried a few times.
The flavor in this box is dark chocolate and raspberry it was lovely but as
I'm not a huge dark chocolate fan I would have much preferred it be milk chocolate.

Bourne and Wallis is a range of temporary tasting pickles.
which I am saving for a buffet lunch as I feel they will be ideal to have with
crackers, cheese, chutney that kind of thing on Christmas eve as I was sent the pickled onions.

Rekorderlig dry apple cider was given to my husband who enjoyed it.
I'm not a huge drinker and not to keen on cider so was definitely something I know Stuart would like to have unwind after a hard week at work.

Branston Orchard Fruit Chutney is also going to be had with our Christmas eve buffet.
But I'm thinking of trying out the Orchard fruit chutney and walnut scones recipe that was included in my box too.

Also included is Teisseire flavored drops for adding to coffee or hot chocolate.
I received two flavors vanilla and caramel and am looking forward to adding these to my drinks. I am a fan of flavored coffees and hot chocolate's this time of year so this will
hopefully help me save £s by not going to costa as much.

Last of all is a Bailey's mini.
I'm not normally keen on Bailey's but am tempted to try out the
flat white martini that was included in the box.

Degustabox: March

For those of you not familiar with Degustabox they are a food box subscription service and
every month they select and send out an exciting range of new and limited edition products from
a range of fab foodie brands.

This months box has 10 fab brands.
2 of which are drinks and 8 of which are foodie items.

So as like last month I am starting off with the drinks in the box.

First of all I'll start off with the alcohol which is Crabbies Fruits I have mentioned
Crabbies before as they have been in a few of degustabox's that I have had over the last
6/7 months. Those of you that read my blog will know that I am not much of a drinker
but will have the occasional drop of alcohol now and again am not too sure about trying these
though as it turns out I wasn't too keen on them last time I gave them ago.
The flavours in this months box are Black Cherry and Raspberry and Rhubarb.

Moving on to the non alcohol drinks in the box which are by Juiceburst.
Juiceburst has 14 different flavours of juice and 3 skinny drinks.
The 500ml cranberry flavour is made using 57 berries and is very tasty so if your
a fan cranberry juice you will love this flavour.
The mango and lime skinny juice is only 99 calories and was delicious it reminded me of mixed fruit flavoured
opal fruits.

Crabbie's Fruits x2 £1.50
Juiceburst x2 £1.25

Kents Kitchen Posh Noodles are perfect for lunch on the go or for a hot snack.
They are made with all natural ingredients, these noodles are tasty, low in fat and low calorie.
Just add water to the pot, stir well and wait a few minutes.
I love noodles but wasn't too keen on the flavour of the one I had which is
due to personal preference.

I am really looking forward to trying out BBQUE original Bavarian barbecue sauces.
They are available in 4 unique flavours:
- grill and beachwood
- original
- honey and mustard
- chilli and horseradish
The original Bavarian delicacy of cranberries, beer, honey and apples is ideal for barbecue, marinades and dips.

Brioche Pasquire's new baked bread bites are the new alternative snack to potato crisps.
Made with real french bread each 20g bag contains under 90 calories.
They are also low in saturated fat, free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives.
Launching in stores soon, in one of the nations favourite flavours, bacon.

Kents Kitchen Posh Noodles £1.75
BBQUE £3.99
Baked Bread Bites x2 50p

If your a fan of sweeter (like me) rather than sugar than you will love Nativa.
Nativa is a 100% naturally sourced alternative to artificial sweeteners and sugars.
Nativia was created using a natural sweetener derived from stevia because they wanted a healthy and natural way for you to enjoy a little sweetness in your life.

Jordans Granola have come up with a new lighter granola.
They chose a recipe which has only natural ingrediants so the new granola has
30% less fat than standard granola's and is higher in fibre too.
I have got the strawebbery and blueberry flavour which I am looking forward to trying out.

Nativa £2.00
Jordan's Granola £3.69

Last of all we have some yummy sweet treats in the box.

Bassettes Jelly Babies Berry Mix is available in the favourite flavours:
Blackcurrent, raspberry and strawberry.
The bag says ideal for sharing whoops.

Sour Patch kids first there sour then they are sweet the mischievous sweets bring on a sour sensation before
revealing a sweet and soft jelly side.
There are six different flavours in the pack on offer too.
These I'm giving to the hubby after all sharing is caring.

Last of all is Lindt Assorted Mini Eggs a perfect Easter treat.
Delightfully smooth milk, white and dark chocolate assortment provides a moment of bliss with every bite.
Enjoy not one but two bags for a fab and yummy Easter.

Jelly Babies Berry Mix £1.48
Sour Patch Kids £1.00
Lindt mini egss x2 packs £2.00

I am pleased that this box contained chocolate with it being so close to Easter.
I am also pleased with this months box as I know most of the contents are going to get used.

February Degustabox

For those of you not familiar with Degustabox they are a food box subscription service and
every month they select and send out an exciting range of new and limited edition products from
a range of fab foodie brands.

The box this month has 7 food items and 2 drink items.

First of all I'll start with the drinks Laimon Fresh is  a refreshing lightly sparkling, lemon, lime and mint flavored soft drink.
Laimon Fresh can be drank on its own or can simply be mixed with white rum to create a tasty Mojito cocktail.
I tried this the other day and wasn't too keen really and would have much preferred this to be fizzy.

Next is Peanut Hottie the first peanut butter hot drink.
The distinct peanut butter taste, aroma and color are the results of real american peanuts blended together,
to create a smooth, velvety, indulgent hot drink.
This is a great alternative to tea and coffee.
I am looking forward to trying this out and not had a cup as of yet but have seen this around and it sounds
lovely since I am a huge fan of peanuts.

Laimon Fresh £1.99
Peanut Hottie £3

Next is Whole Earth's Three Nut Butter.
which combines the wholesome nutty goodness of cashews, hazelnuts and peanuts.
It's made with the finest natural ingredients  and made with no added sugar.
I've yet to try this but will give it whirl.

Melba Thins, crisp toast for night owls and early birds.
The perfect snack to add a range of toppings to.
with 10 packs of 5 these are a fab treat day or night.
I am looking forward to giving these a try.

Schwartz flavor shots are recipe bases containing a unique blend of herbs, spices and seasonings infused with sunflower oil to help create amazing tasting meals.
There are 8 different recipes to choose from.
I haven't tried these and probably wont.
The reason being I am not keen on the oil in them as I am on an healthy eating plan
where I tend to not have too much oil in my diet.

Jack Links is the worlds best selling meat snacks company.
The range includes Jack Links beef snack which is a deliciously convenient to eat bar aimed for busy people,
looking for a healthier snack on the go.
I'm not really keen on the idea of these snacks but my hubby loves it.

Whole Earth Three Nut Butter £3
Melba Thins £1.39
Schwartz flavor shots £1.40 for 2
Jack Links beef snack £1.39

Beet it sport! is a natural nitrate brand in the world. Beetroot shots and bars contain  c400mg of dietary nitrate.
the benefits include lowering blood pressure and improving sports performance.
I'll be honest here and say I hated it, I think its something that some people will love
and others will hate a bit like marmite.
My reason being I don't really see beetroot as something that should be
in a flapjack type bar. I love beetroot and I love flapjacks just not together.

American Muffin Company produces some of the most deliciously and delectable gluten free, wheat free muffins, cakes, brownies and cookies.
My box contained the muffins which were really lovely, soft and very tasty both me and Stuart enjoyed these.

Last but not least is my favorite item in the box Chocolate.
Lily O'Brien's Ireland's best loved chocolatier, has launched a new range
of luxury snacking pouches for chocolate lovers looking for an indulgent treat.
Try the Cocoa cookie crunch, crunchy chocolate biscuit pieces smothered in smooth and creamy milk chocolate.
I really enjoyed these and they were such a treat and I polished off the pack pretty quickly so the photo contains the empty packaging, oops!

Beet It Sport £1.85 for 2
American Muffin Company:
Muffins, brownies, cookies and cakes £2.50 for a box of 6
Lily O'Brien's  £2.60
